15, the Kurds, along with all the other local ethnic groups had shown another way of doing
things. Putting into practice the principles of self-management, popular self-defense,
direct democracy, feminism and ecology, knew face to fundamentalist monster. And they
managed to finish him off. After 134 days of resistance, the Islamic State was expelled
from Kobane Canton, on 27 January of this in 2015.
Unfortunately, the war did not end there. Every day, the multiple fronts of Rojava find
themselves shaken and altered by the ongoing battle with the jihadists of DAESH, compared
to which the popular militias Kurdish follow advancing and liberating areas, collecting
victories despite the enemy's fanaticism.
However, war damages, and more when you do not fight only against a single enemy. For many
months, the Turkish state has shown to be one of the best allies of DAESH, providing arms
and ammunition to its members or facilitating their passage through the Turkish-Syrian
border. At the same time, suppressed and repressed the Kurds with their own brutality of
fascist dictatorship. Nevertheless, the fight spread widely the east and south of Turkey.
This resistance was eventually to become a genuine revolutionary movement, which put into
question the status quo of the country, proclaiming self-government in many regions,
cities and neighborhoods.
Before this, an international solidarity week was called for resistance Kobane, the
struggle of the revolutionary Kurdish people and against the repression of filojihadista
