In September 2000, the opening a new jazz club in the centre of Brusselsseemed to be quite the challenge of a dreamer… Fifteen years and 3500 concerts later, thanks to you, guests, members we are still here, and well…! They decided to pay tribute to one of the most influential jazz guitar players of the “cool jazz“ area : Wes Montgomery. To be discovered. Their exotic sounds include Cadombe from Uruguay, Samba from Brasil, funky rhythms of Cuba and of course more traditional jazz music. Nice music, nice ambiance ! TICKET : 13-15€ FRIDAY 4 JAZZ-BOSSA-BLUES Greg Houben Quartet _167250.jpg) Greg Houben (trumpet, vocals, compositions), Ivan Paduart (piano), Sal La Rocca (bass), Hans Van Oosterhout (drums) Gregory Houben is currently becoming more and more active on the Belgian jazz scene, and has already become one of the most interesting jazzcat of his generation, making of each of his appearances a very special moment of music. His heroes are definitely the great trumpet players of the fifties and sixties, Miles Davis, Kenny Dorham. He loves a post bop or cool style that he occasionally combines with a soft-tone voice, singing jazz standards and Brazilian tunes with a tone reminding of Chet Baker.
