IAF, Tunisia confrence, Opening statement from «Le Commun

We are assembled today in Tunisia, activists from different countries of the
Mediterranean, believing on the capacity of people to be free from the authority of
capitalism by their own forces and their economic, political, social and unionist
self-management without guardianship or authority driving them in their liberation
project. ---- We are here, libertine and anarchist organisms, movements and groups,
non-authoritarian, in a first step for a shared, deeper and global activism work in the
whole world, not only in the Mediterranean zone. ---- We are assembled while the world
endures the atrocity of capitalist system and its security, political, military, cultural
and media means exploiting the emergence of social movements and popular uprising in the
majority of Mediterranean countries, in order to walnut people more and more into debts
and loot their goods and resources for the benefit of a minority represented by bands of
capitalists.
We are assembled while the majority of our countries endures the emergence of many
phenomenon such as religious terrorism, fascism, and racism which not only murder people
and put themselves in the service of imperialist agendas of looting, despite their speech
pretending being against, but also sow, wherever they are, death, destruction and fear
from every real social change.
We are assembled while the first country which has lived the social protest and has
brought down dictatorships, knows a terrible regression and a dangerous deviation to a new
military and security dictatorship, which puts itself, with all obedience, in the service
of capitalism such as the case in Algeria, Morocco among others.
We are assembled today while many rebellious activists protesting for freedom, endure from
monitoring, oppression, arrests, detentions, torture and direct murder by gunshots under
the cover of “general security”, “public interest” and “fight against terrorism”.
We are assembled today while the majority of people lives under the guardianship of the
so-called democracy, the democratic transition and elections which concern only bands
holding money, media and arms, putting themselves, regardless of their ideological or
political membership and their current of thought, in the service of capitalist system in
order to protect its benefits.
We are assembled today while the right current is on ascension all over the world
announcing the regression and the return to the phase of racism and ethnic discrimination.
In front of this situation characterized by the duality of perseverance and resistance in
the first side and oppression in the second side, the movements, the organizations, the
groups and the individuals assembled in Tunisia from March 27 th to 29th insist on the
following:
1- The Union of libertine forces of the Mediterranean zone in the fight against the
oppression and exploit policy adopted by the majority of Mediterranean States against people.
2- The union and coordination in the fight against all kind of extremism regardless of
their nominations and religious, ethnic or other references which may inhibit the will of
people to get freedom and break away from the capitalist authority.
