at Dublin Anarchist Bookfair 2015b y Andrew N Flood
What are the challenges and possibilities of popular self-organisation to reclaim our
lives, our homes and our cities. ---- At this years Dublin anarchist bookfair Jenny and
Zoe looked at recent occupations in Dublin, including the Grangegorman Squat in Smithfield
where resistance to eviction is ongoing ----https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ydm3nAtc5s
---- Jenny said "We see squatting not just as housing ourselves as individuals, but as a
worldwide struggle against neoliberalism. Capitalism basically amounts to the accumulation
of private property and squatting acts as one of the most direct challenges to this.
During the housing crises, its now more important than ever. We want this movement to
grow. ---- We will be running practical squatting nights every Wednesday from 6-8 at the
Barricade in. Follow the Resist Grangegorman's Eviction page for the latest news on the
eviction and squatting in Dublin in general"
