Despite the repression, some Syrians and some of the inhabitants of the squat Galloo are still resisting eviction. Yesterday the police went to tell the Syrians to move, else they will evict them today, but so far they haven’t returned.
Fort Galloo put a red carpet outside their door, in case the police turn up… but they didn’t.
The resistance is expected to be largely symbolic, because the police have the numbers – up to 1000 could descend on to Calais at a click of the fingers of the Immigration minister Bernard Cazeneuve, ‘socialist’ and architect of the new jungle-ghetto. The police have the weapons – truncheons, gas, flashballs and they could even bring grenades if the want – and we do not have a pen knife to defend ourselves. Meanwhile, migrants and people from associations are rebuilding shelters in the new Jules-Ferry jungle. There are protest signs saying ‘Bidonville made in Cazeneuve’ , ‘ Woods are for animals’ , We want human rights’. ‘Refugees live here’. ‘Asylum seekeres live here’ and so on. Mosques and shops are being rebuilt again. The Eritreans are building a new church.

Malgré la répression, des Syriens et quelques-uns des habitants du squat Galloo résistent encore contre les expulsions. Hier, la police est allée dire aux Syriens de se déplacer, sinon ils seront les expulser aujourd’hui, mais jusqu’à présent, ils ne sont pas revenus.
Fort Galloo mis un tapis rouge devant leur porte, au cas que la police arrive … mais ils ne ont pas arrivées.
La résistance devrait être largement symbolique, parce que les policiers ont les numéros – jusqu’à 1000 pouvait descendre sur Calais à un clic des doigts de le ministre de l’Interieur Bernard Cazeneuve, «socialiste» et l’architecte de la nouvelle jungle-ghetto. Les policiers ont les armes – matraques, gaz, flashballs et ils pourraient même apporter des grenades si le besoin – et nous ne avons pas un canif pour nous défendre. Les migrants en situation irrégulière sont particulièrement vulnérables, ce est pourquoi ils obtiennent autant d’abus.
La résistance est cependant en train, il ya eu de belles fetes à Galloo et beaucoup de peinture.

Cependant, les migrants et les gens de des associations reconstruisent des abris dans la nouvelle jungle Jules-Ferry. Il ya des signes de protestation en disant «Bidonville fait Cazeneuve», «Les bois sont pour les animaux », «Nous voulons les droits de l’homme», «Réfugiés vivent ici». «Demandeurs d’asile vivent ici » . Les mosquées et les magasins sont mis en place à nouveau. Les Erythréens sont en train de construire une nouvelle église.
