Britain Edinburgh Anarchists - INTRODUCTION TO ANARCHIST COMMUNISM FOR GENDER OPPRESSED PEOPLE by Robert Lanark

"Just as only the working class can fight capitalism because we are the ones being
directly exploited, so only women, LGBTQ people and those attacked by racism (which can
change from place to place and period to period) can destroy patriarchy, heterosexism and
white supremacy." ---- Introduction to Anarchist Communism, Anarchist Federation ----
"Communism is for us not a state of affairs which is to be established, an ideal to which
reality [will] have to adjust itself. We call communism the real movement which abolishes
the present state of things. The conditions of this movement result from the premises now
in existence." ----The German Ideology, Karl Marx ---- "Anarchism is not a beautiful
utopia, nor an abstract philosophical idea, it is a social movement of the labouring
masses." ---- Organizational Platform of the General Union of Anarchists, Dielo Truda Group

Tuesday 31st March 7pm
Room G5, St. Margaret's House, 151 London Road

Hello everyone! We're putting on another Intro to Anarchist Communism talk/discussion
because the last one went really well.

**This time we're aiming it specifically towards people who are the target of gender
oppression - by which we mean sexism, misogyny, trans misogyny, cissexism, transphobia and
binarism.**

Please come if that applies to you, and share this far and wide.

What is anarchist communism?

In this discussion we will attempt to lay out the Anarchist Federation's overview of
anarchist communist politics, arguing what is basically wrong with the world we live in,
how we can fight to improve it, and what kind of world is worth struggling for.

We'll open the discussion to talk about what anarchism and communism mean to each of us
and how best we can organise to achieve a free society.

This meeting is open and free to all, however any donations towards costs will be
appreciated. We ask that all those attending this event read the brief introduction to our
safer spaces policy.
