TICKET : 7.50€ THURSDAY 12 GENUINE CUBAN MUSIC Rey Cabrera y sus Amigos  Rey Cabrera (lead singer & tres), Humberto Gonzalez (vocals & babybass), Amel Serra (vocals & percussion), Rubén Hernandez (vocals & trumpet), Rubén Valle (piano) The Cuban master musician Rey Cabrera, celebrates his 50th anniversary as a performing artist. His style embodies the living memory of Cuban sounds. A Belgian resident since 2003,this virtuoso singer-songwriter is one of Cuba’s top popular musicians.He introduces his last album ‘Controver-sia’. Rey is regularly on tour in Europe, USA and Canada and a regular “successful guest” of the Village since…a decade now. The band made tours in Indonesia, Switzerland, Scandinavia, the U.K., Spain, Italy…and gained wide experience on the international scene of clubs and festivals. A jazz band with a high ranking musical quality as well as an attractive performance from the very start till the end. Winner of the 2009 and 2011 Downbeat Critics Poll for Baritone Saxophone, winner of the 2011Jazz Times Readers and Critics Polls for Baritone Saxophonist of the Year, winner of the 2009 and 2010 Jazz Journalist Award, Smulyan is a six-time GRAMMY Award Winner for his work with B.B. King, Lovano,Holland and the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra.
