Yesterday, Stevevosky wanted to mark his arrival by visiting the Orphanage in Surulere ....Due to delays, traffic,and other slight setbacks, he got there around 5pm which was pretty late considering the get together was slated for 5:30pm at Rhapsody Ikeja..
Unfortunately ,the traffic didn't make return to Ikeja feasible and so those who decided to join him at the Orphanage it was more reasonable to have the get together in Surulere..
All initial plans, even plans for a professional photographer were left hanging..
While I felt it would be no problem getting readers to Surulere ,unfortunately, didn't realize my wifi was turned off because the network was just so bad there ,so my mails bounced back and they didn't get the information regarding the sudden change in venue.... ...By 8 I started getting emails from readers who were waiting in Ikeja and didn't see us. Tried unsuccessfully to get them to come down but the communication was really flawed ..
Please I promise to make it up soon.Have all your details..Lag Boi, Fummy Kemi and all the others I don't know personally.
I also apologize to those who complained about the timing, the day being Monday and all..So many readers wished it was a weekend...Steve who championed the meeting was in a hurry to go and meet his baby and wife...So i say a big thank you to him for sacrificing his time to meet with us ..A big thanks to his beautiful wife too..
Finally, thanks to Atinuke Bello, Maryam Olaide, Face of MPN,Admiral, Simon and all those who unfortunately didn't feature in the photos because we were carried away and totally forgot to take pictures till we were rounding up...
