World,US,Virginia anti-gay bill delivery tomorrow‏

24 hours to go! – More than 124,000 of us have asked Virginia's House General Laws Committee to vote NO on the proposed anti-gay bill. If passed, it would allows doctors, teachers, and all companies to deny service to gay, lesbian, and bi people.
Tomorrow, we will deliver the petition directly to the Committee’s Chair. The stakes are high and assembly delegates - even the Speaker of the House - are feeling the heat.
We have less than 24 hours to increase the pressure and get to 150,000 signatures before the delivery tomorrow to let politicians know we are watching. Will you share this with friends, family and colleagues and ask them to stand up for equality in Virginia?

Or forward the email below –

We have 24h to stop a law in Virginia that could allow doctors to deny treatment to gay people.

Dear?
Imagine being rushed to the hospital but refused treatment because of who you are. In 24h, Virginia will consider a law that allows doctors, teachers, and all companies to deny service to gay, lesbian, and bi people under the guise of “religious or moral conviction”.
The bill is going to a critical vote. If we succeed this week in convincing members of the committee to vote ‘no’, it will never see the light of day. We need a giant public outcry right now to show the committee that citizens in Virginia and around the country are paying attention.
The vote is looming - the next 24 hours are crucial to stop the bill so we need to go All Out. Can you add your name to this petition to tell the voting committee to say no to this anti-gay bill? We’ll urgently deliver the signatures to each committee member right away:
This law applies to schools and hospitals but also restaurants and other businesses. It could allow teachers to refuse to have gay students in their classes or let movie theaters ban people they even perceive to be gay.
Together, we’ve beat laws like this before - in Arizona, an outrageous bill was proposed to ban transgender people from using restrooms and locker rooms in local businesses. After thousands of us spoke out with local leaders, Arizona’s legislature was forced to dump the bill.
Add your name, it only takes two minutes: go.allout.org/en/a/virginia/
Similar anti-gay bills have been popping up all over the US. Just last month, the Michigan Senate narrowly shut down another dangerous bill that would have given companies the right to say “no gays allowed”. We can shut this one down too. Sign now:
Thanks for going All Out,

P.S. More than a dozen other states have proposed anti-gay laws that would allow discrimination in the name of "religion or moral convictions", and they keep coming. Without your help, these dangerous bills could continue to spread, making lesbian, gay, bi and trans people across the country targets for discrimination. Sign now to shut them down! go.allout.org/en/a/virginia/
