World,Afghan refugees in Norman Atlantic‏

I'm just wondering if from anyone's experience (interviewing refugees trying to reach the italian ports or after having being pushed back from these ports)
- refugees hiding inside or under the TIR have the luxury of movements and of space to light a fire or even a cigarette during their anguish journey to Italy
- or/and if they can do so when it is confirmed that TIR drivers where sleeping in the garage for lack of cabines - knowing also that in most of the cases the TIR drivers (and the ship staff responsible for the garage) once discovering a stoaway on board, they would most probably beat him up, scared for possible consequences to them (possible accuses of facilitation, requisition of the truck, products etc)
here are the reports written about the italian/greek ports

I really don't remember whether there's been such an account (of lighting fires etc) in any of them
And I'm also wondering, even though we weren't on board of that ship and we can't talk with certainty about things (not even those who were rescued can do so though in an objective and absolute way) if we can allow that refugees become the scapegoats of this tragic story and if this acquits the marittime societies for not complying with the security standards, the competent inspectors for the same reasons, the captain for delaying to launch a distress alert, the inferior staff for not providing with help to the passengers who were really in danger, the italian/greek authorities for all these games about which ships (italian/greek) should monopolize the adriatic sea, which RCC is the best and the most efficient for the SAR operations (i guess it's alot of money when it comes to such SAR operations) and if the captain is a hero or not..
just wanted to share, as I find it quite heavy

ps
I'm also wondering, if they find corpses in cages in the garage of the Norman Atlantic ship, if someone will talk also for once more about the detention conditions of refugees trying to reach the italian ports
