World, France, Belgium, A letter from a good friend about what happened in France and on our planet

The text below is written by Werther, a good friend of mine. He is concerned about the future of us all. He is not only affected by what happened in France, but also what is going on in our planet.

My personal thought is however : we are as human beings strong enough to over come hatred, greed, selfishness and darkforces? How can we do the thesis reducing problems? Let's start with love yourself and  the people around you.Is this a utopia? Are we all not a victim of this system in which we live? A system of people divided into instead of uniting .

This is my letter to whom ever might be interested,
First of all, my thoughts are with the victims, their families and the inhabitants of France. It is not right what happened there these last few days. People are getting killed, taken hostage and being shot at.
As a response many people are pointing fingers in the wrong direction, at the wrong people. This results in aggressive behavior from both sides and it is all caused by fear. Which is exactly what terrorists want: they want to make people feel unsafe in the western countries and create chaos in the western continent. Look at the chaos they have already created.
I couldn't sleep last night at all, because I feared for more casualties in our neighboring country. The reality of what is happening in the world is coming closer than ever. You read about terrorism in the newspaper, you see it on the news, but nothing is as daunting as the danger being so close to home. This thought could be interpreted as hypocritical for those who are facing daily murders and loss of loved ones, but believe me my thoughts are with them as well.
As I quote the beautiful words and beginning of Marthin Luther King's legendary speech: 'I have a dream'. He could not have said it better. ”I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed." "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal."
Well I share his dream. Everyone should be born equal and treated with the same love and respect. Even if they have different habits, culture or skin color. At the end of the day we are all human, we breath the same air, we drink the same water and we exist of the same flesh and bones.
This is where everything goes wrong in my opinion. Not everyone treats our moslim neighbors with the same respect they deserve. We understand each other incorrectly, which causes many misconceptions. The “lonely boy on the street” feels excluded and thinks that we, Westerners, hate him or her. This feeling leads to a negative reaction and I think this could be worked out by starting to love one another and to be more open minded about other habits and cultures. Even if they stray from you're own. It starts with ourselves. Give those less fortuned a listening ear or a helping hand. We should help them, so we don't lose our friends.
Please spread love, not hate. If we don't, I fear that in the the next days and/or years this situation will escalate. Please let our children grow up in a loving and caring world, where everyone is treated the same.
For example, if terrorists were born on a deserted island, they wouldn't developed their beliefs. The problem is, they got influenced at a certain time by a negative person. Bad people create bad people. We can prevent this by spreading love.
I understand that many of you are filled with hate and anger at this moment, but I don’t share this feeling, so take this time to grieve the casualties of Charlie Hebdo. Respect what they stood for and send prayers and love to family and friends of the victims. Start hoping and building towards a better future. Black, white and yellow hand in hand. Respect one another.
By writing this letter I do not mean to hurt anyone. I only wish to express my feelings about this situation, because it makes me feel really sad. I want to share this opinion because I still believe in a bright future where the world can work and live together in harmony.
I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this letter. Thank you for letting me use my freedom of speech and I would like to encourage everyone who agrees and disagrees with me, to do the same, because it is a constitutional right we have. I respect people who choose to share their views and ideas even if that takes courage sometimes, like what the team behind Charlie Hebdo did.
