Shang Dynasty palace unearthed in Henan


Archaeologists have unearthed a “middle city” at an archaeological site in Zhengzhou, Central China’s Henan province, which has a large area composed of 40 well-preserved sacrificial pits. Archaeologists also found building foundations of a palace from the early Shang Dynasty (1600 BC to 1046 BC), covering an area of 3,000 square meters.
