Today (January 27, 2015) early in the morning, 37-year-old political refugee Baris Bal has
been released by Thessaloniki prosecutor Nikos Kallidis under the conditions of a
prohibition of leaving the country and reporting himself to the police station once a
month. ---- Bal living in Greece for about 22 years, was taken into custody according to a
warrant issued by Turkey via Interpol (related to the conviction of membership to an
illegal organization- when he was 14-years-old) last Friday (23.01.2015). This morning at
9 am, dozens of people gathered in front of Thessaloniki Courthouse for solidarity with
Baris Bal who is a renowned musician.
