Abstract.
A new system of efficient criteria of environmental hazards of chemicals is proposed. The system is more effective than the current European system that is accepted in many European countries and in the U.S.A.
A specific example is considered, namely, sublethal effects of chemical poolutants that decrease water filtration rate by filter-feeders. The new data obtained by the author in his experiments are analyzed and used in this paper. Review. Opinion paper.
