Claire King made her debut apperance on Coronation Street last night as Erica, Liz's mate from Spain. Actress Claire King was interviewed on ITV's This Morning this morning and talks about joining Corrie in her new role.

Claire says that Erica's running away from Spain and a bad marriage and she wants a good time now with her mate Liz. She's friends in real life with Bev Callard, who plays Liz, and talks about how iconic The Rovers set is to be working in. She says that Bill Roache (Ken Barlow) told her he still gets nervous doing scenes in The Rovers!
Claire talks about Erica's upcoming romance with Nick Tilsley and says she loves playing the comedy scenes against Helen Worth as Nick's mum Gail.
Asked how long she was going to be in the show, Claire says she is "coming back in January" so I guess that means she has to leave before she can return.
