Welcome my supurr furriend
Furstly can you tell us a little about yourself? i.e: how mew came to your current home, were mew a rescuee or adopted as a kitten or puppy, how old mew are, what do mew like best about your living arrangements, etc…
I was a rescue kitty. Dad had a neighbour who was fostering kittens for a local group called Spay and Save and she asked if he would like a kitten but he declined as there was already a kitty living with him. He was an elder named Inky who was 21 and Dad thought it would be too much for old Inkster but she kept asking. Finally he said he would give me a try if, and only if, it would be on a trial basis. Right. As soon as I moved in I turned on the charm and that was that. Inky and I became good furends and he taught me a lot before he went over the Bridge. Dad still supports this great organization.
Do mew have any fur-siblings and if so, can mew tell us about them?
I have 5 brofurs and a sisfur. If you follow our blog you will know that Miss Fitz is our resident fire brand. She is feisty and always has a hiss word or whack for any Man-Cat foolish enough to get too close. Toby is her very handsome (his meows) Panfur boy toy who may be a teeny bit hen-pecked. Cocka-doodle-doo! MOL. Buddy is our grouchy elder and likes to sleep except when he is barrelling through the house at top speed which happens a few times a day. I really can't figure the old fellow out and neither can any other cat, or Dad fur that matter. Rumpy Bump Stumpnots is… um… a bit of a bother to every cat. He was a pure-breed rescue that lived alone in a cage for a few months before Dad adopted him so we give him some slack. Mr Buttons is our happy go lucky FIV kitty. He loves loves loves belly rubs. Einstein was brought to Dad last October in a coma. He was a runt and not allowed to eat by his brofurs who were HUGE. Dad used his Nursey Man Skills and got him back to the land of the purring. The little fellow was so lovable we all wanted him to stay. Dad too. He is Rumpy's sidekick which means he is put up to some mischief from time to time.
What is your most favourite thing?
My Dad. I run to see him when he comes home and I lay with him every chance I get. There is a special spot that he reserves for me on the bed for reading and sleep time. Next I like to play red dot and chase small mice. I am not really big on treats but will nom a few to make Dad happy.
What is your most least favourite thing?
I would be with the rest of the family in that when Rumpy gets a flea in his fur he can be a real trouble maker. We have to keep telling Einstein that he needs to be his own cat and not follow in Rumpy's paw steps.
Do mew have any nicknames?
Tim-Ber, Timbo, Marmalade Man
Are you an indoor kitty or an exploratory outdoor enthusiast/adventurer?
We are all indoor only. We have really nice bird TV with nice seats and all
What’s your favourite treat or most yummy nom?
I really like Friskies Mariners Catch. I could eat that every meal but Dad makes us eat different flavours so we don't get finicky (rolls eyes)
Tell us about a typical day in your life?
Get up and tell Dad it is time to get up too. Have breakfast (we get breakfast and dinner, no free range here.) Play with my family during the day and with Dad on weekends. Dinner when Dad comes home. Then we play a little and relax on the cat lounger. (Dad says it is a couch but we know better) Then reading time before sleep. A puffect kitty life.
What’s the wurst thing mew’ve effur done? i.e: bringing live prey into the house and onto the pillow next to your sleeping hoomans as a speshul surprise, chewing/scratching the furniture/soft furnishings into oblivion, destroying something precious, digging the flowerbeds up, eating the car seat, yakking up on the new silk throw, yakking up everywhere apart from on the wooden floors etc… [these are all things experienced by my P.A. at some point during her animal guardianship]
I have hawked a hair ball into Dad's shoe. Not once, not twice, three times! I like my record.
Where’s your favourite snooze spot?
When Dad gets in bed for reading time I lay on his right side. When he puts the book or e-reader down for the night I hug his arm and we both fall asleep. Heaven.
Do mew have a speshul toy, if so can mew tell us about it?
I used to like small toy mice. When I first came Dad had maybe 20 of them and I would chase them when he threw them. I outgrew that and started liking the red dot best. I am the only one who can catch it. Well most of the time anymeow.
Are mew social or antisocial towards your fellow housemates if mew have any?
Dad says I am the Top Cat as I am the only kitty who will play with my whole family. I am very easy going and get along with evfurry kitty.
Do mew have any speshul skillz? i.e: can open the tin of tuna while the hoomans are at work, escape artist, hiding, jumping, sleeping, playing, catching, fetching, supurr fast, etc…
I am really good at getting into cabinets and drawers. When Dad hears a cabinet slam in the kitchen he knows I am doing patrol to make sure evfurry thing is safe. I can also wiggle into and behind the drawers in the bedroom. I like to make sure there are no introoders.
Are mew supurr creative? i.e: Have mew written a book, created art, jewellery, etc? Purrlease share as much as mew’d like and photo’s/links too.
I would really like to write a book. Me and Dad have an idea fleshed out about a future scenario and genetically altered felines. We were going to start this year but he cannot type more than for work due to needing a new shoulder. We tried the talk to type programs but they are awful. (I think it is Dad's Conshohocken accent)
What’s your favourite time of year and why?
Christmas time is so much fun and we have Angels visit too! They came to help Einstein when he was so sick and, well, now they come and visit evfurry year! We can lay by the little tree and there are always toys and treats.
Who do mew most admire?
Dad of course. He works really hard to keep us all happy and healthy along with doing as much as he can for others in need.
If mew could do absolutely anything, what would it be?
I would make sure every pet without a loving home had one.
