Kate Fitzgerald played Doreen Corkhill in Brookside and I'm very excited that she's going to be turning up in Corrie. With Pearl from Last of the Summer Wine arriving as Beth's grandma and Doreen Corkhill as Beth's mum, it looks like Kirk and Beth's wedding in the New Year will be an episode to remember, hopefully for all the right reasons.
Kate Fitzgerald recently turned up in Cilla on ITV. I can't wait to see her in Coronation Street. Her spotlight website shows that the character will be called Nancy.
