Teaser Tuesday: Otherworld Nights by Kelley Armstrong

My first thought when I read this passage was how lonely that life must be.

This week my teaser comes from Otherworld Nights by Kelley Armstrong. I got this eARC from Penguin's First to Read program for review. It was released on October 28. Here is the description:
