Lush are forever bringing out beautiful looking products that could almost be mistaken for food, and if you're one of those who have been sitting precariously on the edge of 'is that food/is that soap?', I can guarantee that this next product will knock you over the edge.
Yog Nog Soap is a product that makes your lips quiver and your mouth salivate. To look at, you wouldn't be wrong to mistake it for a slice of cake, as it doesn't look that far off of the Tiramisu cakes I see in high-end bakery windows. With the dusting of cocoa powder on the top for decoration, you can see why us dessert-loving fans wouldn't be tempted to take a bite.

Made from an impressive array of skin-softening ingredients, this soap is a feast for the body. Rapeseed and coconut oil work as the base for the soap and the latter ingredient offers itself slightly in the overall aroma of the product; soya yoghurt helps to make this soap super moisturising and means that when a chunk comes into contact with water, it creates a wonderful thick and creamy lather to smooth over your body. Rich in antioxidants, the soya yoghurt also nourishes and repairs dry and damaged skin, so perfect for the foreseeable cold weather.
While I was a little confused about the inclusion of ylang ylang in the ingredients list, I realise that this ingredient gives the soap a slight sweetness to it which compliments the spices wonderfully. With both clove bud oil and nutmeg powder, this soap finishes up by offering a beautiful festive aroma that you want to enjoy again and again.
To me, the soap smells like a combination of burnt vanilla, freshly made buttery fudge and creamy cocoa butter. It's wonderfully sweet without being too sickly or in the least bit synthetic-smelling. In the shower, the fragrance comes into full force and you really have to fight the urge to not lick the bar whilst you're using it.

While a lot of soaps tend to dry my skin out, this one was really gentle - so much so that I used it on my face as well and I was really impressed with how soft and nourished it felt afterwards. What's even more impressive is that the wonderful aroma lingers on your skin for hours afterwards and I received a number of comments from members of the public about my 'perfume'.
This is the perfect indulgence for those who want to lavish their skin and enjoy a festive aroma at the same time. It's a gorgeous soap and one that I'll be sure to stock up on before the seasonal goodies disappear. Although I was initially upset that Lush didn't bring back Angel's Delight this year, and while this soap doesn't offer anything similar in the way of scent, this is a good replacement until I can get my hands on my favourite festive soap once again.
