Despite the continued process of globalization undergone by the world, with the omologation of local economies, the cultural themes, and even the values and ways of thinking, there are still considerable differences in the world on important issues, such as Human Rights. But the most important and obvious differences there are on the subject of children’s rights, which soesso represent the weakest link in the chain of globalizations. Just kids, children, now live under inhuman conditions in much of the world, being deprived of childhood, of serenity, of the affections. Many children are forced to work grueling shifts in countries in the developing world, such as China and India, and even more are those children forced to become soldiers, to live the horrors of war, and sometimes lose their lives, in name of insane political plans in the countries of the third world. The following map illustrates the very difficult situation of children worldwide, showing a condition very different from that which we often depict, with large areas of the world where being a child is almost impossible.
Nonostante il continuo processo di globalizzazione a cui è sottoposto il mondo, con l’omologazione delle economie locali, dei temi culturali e perfino dei valori e dei modi di pensare, vi sono ancora profonde differenze a livello mondiale su questioni importantissime, come ad esempio i diritti umani. Ma differenze più importanti ed evidenti ci sono sul tema dei diritti dei bambini, che soesso rappresentano l’anello debole della catena della globalizzazioni. Proprio i bambini, i minori, vivono oggi condizioni disumane in gran parte del mondo, venendo privati dell’infanzia, della serenità, degli affetti. Molti sono i bambini costretti a massacranti turni di lavoro nei Paesi in via di sviluppo, come ad esempio Cina e India, e ancor di più sono quei bambini costretti a diventare soldati, a vivere gli orrori della guerra, e talvolta perdere la vita, in nome di folli piani politici nei Paesi del terzo mondo. La seguente mappa ci illustra la difficilissima condizione dei bambini su scala mondiale, evidenziando una condizione ben diversa da quella che spesso ci raffiguriamo, con ampie zone del mondo dove essere bambini è quasi impossibile.
