On the series of excellent, insightful, and innovative publications of the Moscow University researcher, Fulbright Award winner, Dr. Sergei A. Ostroumov.
In the series of his publications including papers and books (see the list of references), some fundamental, significant and insightful innovations were made by him in environmental sciences, ecology, biogeochemistry, water sciences, and related and relevant areas of biology. The new facts and ideas that were presented by those publications are useful and helpful to advance environmental education, environmental and water safety, and sustainability. The discoveries made by the author of these publications continue the lines of research of the prominent scientists including V.I.Vernadsky, A.P.Vinogradov, V.V.Kovalsky, G.E.Hutchinson, R.G. Wetzel, and L.Margulis.
The scientific results of S.A.Ostroumov and his publications are and will be useful to scientists, professors, students in many areas of science as well as in application including practical work on environmental management and safety, environment protection, sustainable use of natural resources, nature conservation and biodiversity protection, innovative technologies of pollution control, protection of the biosphere, and preventing the global change.
In the list of references, some of the references have concise annotations or comments.
