RICHMOND, Va. -- Attorneys representing a county clerk in northern Virginia have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to delay a circuit court ruling striking down the state's same-sex marriage ban. GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Marriage equality advocates want a federal judge to quickly overturn North Carolina's ban on same-sex unions after an appeals court ruling to overturn a similar prohibition in Virginia.
