Statement of the IFA: War is the lifeblood of the state ---- 2014 One hundred years after
the beginning of the 1st World War organized the International of Anarchist Federations a
campaign on the theme of war and militarism. Some groups from the Federation of
German-speaking Anarchists and the Anarchist Federation Rhine / Ruhr have taken up the
issue and run with other groups and events through local actions on the issue. Reason for
this are plenty. Be it the growing militarization in society or the ongoing war belonging
for many people around the world to the everyday suffering. ---- lot going there in August

war war! For the social revolution!
On 28 July, the beginning of World War II marked the centenary, on August 1, the entry of
Germany into the latter. Since the beginning of the year, showing an increased media and
community interest in the First World War. Unfortunately, however, the coverage is often
limited to the course of the war and a superficial processing of the causes. To date,
socially perceived as uncomfortable causes of war are not or only insufficiently
discussed. There are also people in every war, systems and ideologies that benefit by him
and welcome, therefore, the call to arms and support. Be it nationalist and chauvinist
great power fantasies in population or government, for-profit arms industry or the state
aimed at the achievement of certain geopolitical goals or an organizing function within.
In 2014, many of these relationships are not long gone, although the company would often
think that this past is infinitely far away. Today, these aims are less openly
communicated to the outside and displayed more cautious and diplomatic, if not sold as
development aid.
Of course, the flagships of our 'representative democracy' the process of creeping
militarization progress since 1914 and 1939 can not be denied, still driving in these
days, as we face an increasing expansion of the competences of the German Armed Forces and
the massive German arms exports, in context of a changed warfare and conscious of "German
responsibility" before it. You do with her part, the ideal of a world without war and the

Military is fundamentally contrary to its hierarchical structures and in its function of
liberated society. In order to introduce our radical anti-militarist content in the broad
public discourse we have organized ourselves with various anarchist groups in an alliance

wars is also firmly established yet in our system and that the wars that take place in a

We, as anarchists, will continue to fight against all forms of militarism, nationalism and
capitalism. We want to sensitize and reconnaissance of the subject matter, to break the
passivity to a certain extent and as always stay uncomfortable. We want to show that our
idea of a society free of domination and our radical critique of the most important steps
to prevent wars includes: The reduction of social inequalities, which must be accompanied
by the removal of Mr. Sheep structures in our opinion. Only when we all can negotiate with
each other our ideas of social coexistence at eye level, we will no longer feel pressured
to perceived or real disadvantage to have to compensate by force of arms.
The degradation of war reasons we succeed with the dismantling of power structures and
dependency ratios, break of systems such as fainting, fear of losing power and the feeling
often represented in the parliamentary system is not to be clever enough to the politics
that affects us to purchase.
From the 1st-3rd August will start our campaign with a diverse weekend in Dortmund. With
many more readings, lectures, a rally, actions, a workshop. we want to send a clear
message against war and for the Social Revolution!
