Text written collectively among individuals, organizations, social movements and
autonomous spaces for flyers to be distributed in Belo Horizonte: ---- Last week the State
of Israel began over a military offensive against the Palestinian people, yet leaving 200
dead and over 1,500 injured. The conflict is established in Gaza and elsewhere where it
distributes the Palestinian people for over 50 years, it is not a war. Israel is a state
and has one of the most powerful armies. The military and political superiority of Israel
is unquestionable and is reflected in the number of victims. The Palestinian people are
deprived of their land and their rights since the beginning of the Israeli expansionist
and murderous offensive. This is a massacre, a genocide.
The State of Israel is abusing a disproportionate political power, and military, to
decimate the Palestinian population to support large heads of the world economy as the
United States, England and Germany, waging an imperialist campaign in the Middle East,
increasing further territorial hegemony and Israeli politics and thus preventing the
self-determination of the Palestinians. The Brazilian government, which last year arrested
dozens of protesters, still using Israeli weapons to repress and murder the poor, blacks
and workers in the slums. Their trade agreements with the state of Israel and its silence
on the current conflict clearly show which side it is.
Everyone has the right to life and liberty. The hunting and extermination of Palestinians
waged by Israel is inhumane and disproportionate and follows superior to religious and
cultural interests, with a genocide of economic and political interests. We fight for the
immediate cessation of Israeli attacks, putting us in full solidarity with the
Palestinians, that this historical conflict suffered a massacre and were severely
oppressed. This genocide must stop! So we asked:
1) The final order of the genocide of the State of Israel on the Palestinian people; 2)
The position of the Brazilian government and the immediate diplomatic and commercial
relations with the State of Israel breakup.
Join this act Friday, July 18, in front of the Israeli consulate in BH. Concentration at
17h at the corner of Avenida Brazil with Avenida Francisco Sales, Santa Iphigenia, for
making posters, banners and blouses! Lightweight materials that can be used in the act,
such as images, photographs, cartoons, posters, banners, shirts, paints. Take also a
candle with one of the colors of the Palestinian flag: green, red, white or black!
