Judge dismisses last sex abuse lawsuit against Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash

PHILADELPHIA -- A judge in Pennsylvania dismissed the last of five sex-abuse lawsuits filed against the Emmy-winning puppeteer who voiced the "Sesame Street" character Elmo. The ruling did not weigh the merits of the claims but said 25-year-old accuser Sheldon Stephens filed suit too late against actor Kevin Clash.

GOP-led N.Y. Senate blocks reparative therapy ban, transgender protections

ALBANY, N.Y. -- The New York state Senate adjourned Friday without calling a vote on two LGBT-related bills passed by the Assembly -- one that would ban reparative therapy for minors, and another that would have added gender identity to the state's non-discrimination laws.
