Thank you so much for all the nice birthday greetings this weekend. It was fun sharing the day with all the fabulous dads in our family.
We headed out for a picnic at the Mill of Kintail just outside of Almonte. It is a conservation area where many people go to enjoy hiking through the woods. We had breakfast under the trees along the water. It was just gorgeous. Then it was off for a hike. We brought our dog, Kane, along and he really enjoyed the walk through the trees and along the walking trail.
Thank you to the kids for the lovely cake (apple crumble) and all the gifts. The retired-guy and I are very blessed to have such a fabulous family.

It was a Happy Father's Day and a Happy Birthday.
As you can see the sun came out after 3 days of rain.
