Brazil hosts the FIFA World Cup in July 2014 and the Youth Olympics in 2016, absorbing
huge amounts of money, while many basic needs of the population are not satisfied. For the
purposes of sporting spectacle, more than 170,000 families were thrown into the street!

Olympic Committee (IOC) do not know the logic of money. FIFA, the IOC and the states that
support them drinking in public funds despise the people who live in countries where they
organize their shows: lavish spending, authoritarian repression and displacement usually
accompany these initiatives. ---- Brazil is no exception. ---- We affirm our solidarity

public meetings, football tournaments, ...)
