EXPANDING THE CONCEPTUAL APPARATUS OF ECOLOGY:
A NEW TYPOLOGY OF MIGRATION OF ELEMENTS AND MATTER IN THE ECOSYSTEM (BIOSPHERE)
In the publications listed below, the author (Dr. Sergei A. Ostroumov, Moscow State University) proposed a new typology of migration of elements and matter in the ecosystem (the biosphere), formulated a new classification of the migration of elements and matter. This classification uses the concepts of vector and stochastic, cyclic and acyclic movements of elements and matter. The author has formulated and underlined the fundamental role of the impact of biota on the duration of retention of chemical elements in ecosystems.
