Editorial

Dear Readers,

during the DGB in the International Workers day of struggle his washed-out demands for
"good work" propagated demand more radical organizations usually somewhat megalomaniacal
the abolition of wage labor, and remember sometimes quite pathetic the Erk?mpfung of the
eight-hour day. Although spreads on May 1 after removal and dismantling of the info object
of idleness, is that day but all the signs of labor. Since it seemed attractive and
necessary, even to address the scope of the work, which the proletarian pathos lacking
something. In the care or custody work anyway little time to breathe and in the supposedly
private sector, we can certainly not take time off from her to us. By the way, does the
term "proletarian" from the Latin "proles", which means "the offspring" means. And who
wants to be supplied in order to later provide the elderly can ...

In this issue we have mainly focused on the paid activities that are "the offspring of
concern", particularly in the health professions. In March, nationwide - in some cities,
with participation of FAU - strike at the bargaining with the federal government and the
municipalities for higher wages, more vacation and a purchase guarantee for trainees in
nursing and in other public services. After only three warning strike and four days of
negotiations, the new tariff was decided. The result: a base amount of 90 euros, on
average even 5.7 percent wage increase and a day more holiday at a maximum of 30 days of
leave, duration two years. An underwriting guarantee there will be for trainees wherever
they were trained "professionally" - whatever that means. However, increasing the night
shift and load allowance in hospitals and in the transport refused to employers. Overall,
this is not bad, but not really good.

In Lower Saxony, participated in the second day of the strike at the central rally in
Hannover at least 20,000 workers. Educators, social workers, cleaners and nurses procured
to air. In view of the chronic understaffing in their industries, they demanded not only
new hires, but also a greater appreciation of their work. It remains unclear how much
fighting spirit will be taken back to the factories with. After the privatization in the
public sector, the outsourcing of tasks to external employers and the acceleration and
increasing expansion of the fields of activity are far weggestreikt.

We wish to thank the Bekleidungssyndikat Hanover, Black Mosquito, DirAction, Grandioso
shipping, coffee aroma Zapatista Collective, Roots of Compassion, black sock Mailorder,
syndicate-A media sales and Fire and Flames, help spread the issue of direct action. The
next issue is this focus on the theme "Education and state" continues.

Have fun reading!
