Saturday, May 17, 2014 - 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. in Saint-Michel Protest against
gender-based violence, and transphobic lesbophobic ---- We relay here the call of the
collective on April 8, the group of CGA in the Paris region is a signatory to a
demonstration in Paris against all gender-based violence and transphobic lesbophobic and
to defend the right to self-defense. Indeed, while a woman was assaulted by men in a
street in the center of Paris and was defended, she was sentenced on April 8 at 5 months
of imprisonment. His trial was also an opportunity for the armed wing of the bourgeois
patriarchal justice and punish feminists came to support their comrade and friend. 18
people were arrested at that time and a girlfriend is still continued after that day. We
do not recognize any legitimacy to this travesty of justice to dictate to women and
victims of patriarchy limits their response to the most brutal oppression of their events.
Self-defense and direct action are our best weapons!

The call:

While violence against women is increasing, the judiciary has rendered April 8, 2014 a
scandalous verdict, which declares tou-te-s the impunity of perpetrators. A woman has been
sentenced for defending herself from a violent assault.
The story, however, is sadly commonplace. Man, supported by others, attacked her in the
street, shouting and lesbophobic sexist remarks and sexual threats and insults
for daring to react, the Justice was sentenced to 5 months imprisonment.
This verdict, serious, now condemns it to be a prey to all men.
Indeed, in case of aggression, it can not defend itself under threat of imprisoned, even
though gender-based violence, lesbophobic, homophobic and transphobic increase.
A protest action organized by a group of support took place just after rendering the
verdict and was harshly repressed by the police.
Eighteen feminists were arrested, and one of them is pursued by justice.
This right here is a political decision taken against the rights of women and LGBTQI *.
We call on all women's organizations, trade unions, political, anti-fascist, human rights
and LGBTQI all collective to mobilize against this injustice. Because we are tired of
unpunished violence, because we can do more of this patriarchal society that encourages
aggressors ...
Appointment Saturday, May 17 as part of the International Day against Homophobia (IDAHO)
to Saint Michel-14H.
Trans rights, access to all LDCs, the government backs down, give up, and yields to the
pressure of the worst reactionaries. Enough!
