The slate Tr?laz? is history. With the announcement of the closure of the slate and making
door slate 153[2], an entire section of the industrial and social history of the area is
shaken. But far from resigning the slate are determined to lead the fight. ----
Multinational Imerys announced Monday, Nov. 25 closing slate Tr?laz?, last mines slate
France. The slate would "lose" 15 million euros to the company for 10 years. It obviously
fails to mention is that it has made more than million of profits donated more than 300
million in dividends to its shareholders 110 in 2012! And if the slate are no longer so
profitable, it is also because of explorations undertaken from the outset doomed to
failure in the optical thinly veiled put slate deficit.
Fallacious argument
Slate, there in the basement of Tr?laz? the slate know and repeat, contrary to what would
have us believe Imerys or certain public authorities. Only pursue industrial activity
Tr?laz? it takes time and money. This is probably what most bothers this multinational
prefers to invest in resources to rapid profitability (talc, shale gas, etc..) But damage
to ecological disaster.
Sadness, or resignation
In the first announcement, local pundits of the UMP and the PS prefecture have continued
to lament the sadness of this closure, without ever questioning. On the other hand, slate,
and militant union CGT, are constantly highlight their willingness to resume the
extraction of slate Tr?laz?. Better than anyone know the slate mines and quarries and do
not want to leave their fate in the hands of employers and public authorities
(municipalities, Ministry of Productive Recovery, etc.). Defending common interests.
The slate rely on a significant popular support. On February 1, more than a thousand
people marched through the streets of Tr?laz? to support them in their struggle.
Slates and slate Tr?laz? part of popular history of our department. The struggles they
have led since the late eighteenth century have always had a special place in Angers
social movement[1]. The libertarian movement and revolutionary syndicalist has long held
the upper hand there. This is one way to revive this tradition that the collective AL
Angers has invested to the extent of his abilities, to disseminate information, mobilize,
and provide support to their struggle and slate.
Far from fatalism, the slate of Tr?laz? are determined to lead the fight! It is up to us
to support and popularize.
