(en) Brazil, (FARJ-CAB): Dictatorship yesterday and today: repudiation of repression in the PM act against the Military Coup (pt)

We, the Anarchist Federation of Rio de Janeiro (FARJ-CAB), we reject the cowardly 
aggression carried out by the Military Police of Rio de Janeiro to militants and 
demonstrators present at the time against the military coup of 64, who turned 50 on April 
1. ---- Several organizations and political movements marched in the streets of Rio de 
Janeiro to mark the popular resistance to the military facility and corporate coup, which 
mainly benefited the national and international bourgeoisie. In our case, we distributed 
the newspaper Libertarian Socialism speaking precisely about the criminalization of 
protest yesterday and today. ---- At one point in front of the Military Club, PM attacked 
cowardly protesters. ---- Beside the tendency to fight, Popular Organization , were beaten 
in the final moments of the act of cowardly manner by the military police!

Unfortunately, we did not record the assault, but our comrades felt on the skin, the 
violence of this authoritarian and criminal institution, which has only one reason to 
exist: to maintain the current system of domination intact capitalist.

It is emblematic that the date exactly 50 years after the military coup that swept the 
country, governments continue to treat social issues as police case.
