Michael Le Vell in talks with Corrie over drug use

There's a report in today's Manchester Evening News that says Corrie bosses to hold talks with Michael Le Vell, who plays Kevin Webster, after he admitted cocaine use

Michael admitted he had taken the drug while at his ‘lowest ebb’ when he was on trial for 12 sex abuse charges at Manchester Crown Court.

He said: “I had never felt so low. I knew I was innocent but everything was closing in on me. The first time I ever did cocaine was in the lead up to my trial. I never thought that I was the sort of bloke who would like cocaine. But it was moments of weakness when I was at the lowest ebb of my life. For a brief few minutes the first time was a relief from everything that was going on."

An ITV spokesman for the show confirmed: “We will be meeting with Michael on Monday to discuss this situation.”
