In answering those questions, and as a result of his new experiments, the author discovered an additional factor that contributes to eutrophication. This factor is connected with neither P, nor N. This factor is surfactants which inhibit filter-feeders. As a result, a new methodology and measures to prevent and control eutrophication are proposed.
