The March 8, International Women's Day is a day to remember and strengthen women's
struggle for liberation against sexism and patriarchy. The Black Flag Anarchist Collective
invites all and all for feminist activities organized jointly by collectives and movements
of Florian?polis. The weekly schedule is below: ---- On Saturday, March 8, Block Carnival
"Exit Balaia Put the Spoon" will come out to the streets to meet at 10am in front of the
Cathedral. Under the call for Block: ---- "? open wards that women go through, ---- With
this march will change a lot, ---- Our place is not on fire or stove, ---- Our flame is
the fire of the revolution!" ---- March 8 is International Women's Day, when we gather
every year to remember the struggle of women past and present in search of a better and
more dignified life for all of us.
Not a day to receive flowers and praise, is a day to keep alive the memory of the women
who took the forefront of the battle, fighting for a freer life in politics, at home, at
work and in bed! The best way to pay tribute to these women is to continue the feminist
struggle, advancing against sexist oppression and authoritarian practices of capitalism.
March 8 is International Women's Day Fight! It is international day of women's solidarity
and unity! The social and feminist movements of Florian?polis invite the public to join
our march, which this year will take the streets of downtown in the form of carnival
block. Let's meet at 10am hours in front of the Cathedral downtown. Bring your marching
and step on his machismo! Wear your costume and we samba together in the face of capital!
