The book of our friend AL, Pierre Stambul is a real keypad 500 pages. However, this is an
exceptional autobiography for all those who are interested or are passionate about the
Israeli-Palestinian issue. His work relates to the history of relations between Jews and
Israelis, Zionism and Zionism, Israel and Palestine, the people of the Middle East and
their feudal regimes. ---- Pierre Stambul is from the "harem" Jewish. In this perception
of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as well as his involvement in the French Jewish Union
for Peace, Zionist organization whose majority of members are of Jewish origin, carries a
progressive point of view without concession or guilt. He faces the Jewish communal spirit
maintained by the Zionist policy of the State of Israel and representative institutions
that support in the diaspora.
The first chapter of his own family history and the reasons for his commitment to the
Palestinian cause. It is a mirror to the commitment of activists and Jewish activists
whose parents were involved in progressive movements for everything except for Israel. In
explaining his career, Peter is certainly discover many readers of this book a flaw in the
supposedly unanimous loyalty to the Jewish State of Israel. Further, his approach critics
of the Jewish religion and to point out contradictions reveals a distancing from it.
But above all, Peter retraces a complete geopolitical world of modern history of the
Middle East through the eyes of an anti-Zionist activist with Jewish origins.
This book, which may seem tedious at first and sometimes feeds repetitions is not reading
one piece. Readers should seek to find the chapters of particular interest. Based on this
principle, it must find all the elements of analysis that will help build or strengthen an
anti-Zionist approach to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
