(en) France, Alternative Libertaire AL - Solidarity with SUD-PTT facing repression, 13 and 14 February in Tours (fr, pt)

For corrosive products in the organ trade unionist Touraine Sudversif , the departmental
director of the Post, Jean-Jacques Tibi feels "insulted" and SUD-PTT attack to justice.
Follows an unlikely legal saga: search, and 11 summonses to the police, about 8 friends
and a trial before the High Court ... ---- In July 2011, appears briefly in the monthly
flyer Sudversif, denouncing sanctions against a militant SUD-PTT 36-37 and authoritarian
attitude of the Director of La Poste with respect to this agent. The terms are identified,
up to the emotion aroused by these events. The Orleans tribunal also cancel these
sanctions in March 2013. ---- But the director, Jean-Jacques Tibi complaint because he
feels "insulted". Follows an unlikely series record: no less than 11 invitations to the
police were required in this case, against eight comrades.

The web host is called on his side to Toulouse. Even more outrageous, June 28, 2012,
police conducting a search of the premises of SUD-PTT. We are indeed witnessing here an
attempted criminalization of trade union expression. Note that the indictment of our
fellow militant social movement occurred the same day that the National Assembly refused
to discuss social amnesty.

Three rallies in support together with 150 people, thousands of postcards sent to the
President of the Republic, dozens of messages of support from other organizations of the
labor movement punctuate these events.

"With regard to terms used in the article in question and denounced by the plaintiff, it
is not possible to consider that they constitute abuse within the meaning of the Act of 29
July 1881. Although unpleasant to listen to M Tibi, the offending express ideas, remaining
below the notion of insult concepts. It is neither possible nor desirable that justice
comes criminalize writings whose content is acceptable in the context of a democratic
society ... It is not finally clear from the file that the SUD union had wanted to
stigmatize the Jewish origins M Tibi. " It was not SOUTH who wrote it, but the indictment
for non-place writing by the prosecutor July 4, 2013.

Yet SUD-PTT 36-37, in the person of his former departmental secretary, is dragged before
the High Court of Tours, this Friday, February 14, 2014!

It is therefore a serious and repeated against a union and a crackdown aimed at silencing
any social protest attack. It goes far beyond SUD-PTT 36-37 since the problem of freedom
of association as a whole.
