Kash Leone rapper around which was born the idea of the concert organized by the
anti-capitalist forehead Nantes on September 28. Former worker of PSA Aulnay and author of
the song It can go on, he answered our questions with his videographer, Seb, another
former PSA. ---- ---- AL: How did past the announcement of the closure of Aulnay? ----
Kash Leone: It was felt that this would happen and there was the announcement of the
closure, like this live. Once a week we had a briefing, we were told "PSA Aulnay will
close." At the time it's white, and then very quickly, small groups were formed, there are
people who began to run in the factory, to cry, to be scratched ... ---- How did the idea
of the song? ---- Kash Leone: I had done a concert in PSA, people knew that I was in the
music. I was told: "Kash, need you to do a piece on it".
"My first goal was that it corresponds to my colleagues. At the announcement of the
closure, there were two weeks before the holiday - where the plant closes for a month.
This is where I made.
How was the video shoot in the Aulnay plant?
Kash Leone: I line monitor and Seb works maintenance, so we go before the other to ensure
that the machines work. We made trails for a clip and when operators have returned, I made
them listen to the song and I said, "Now we turn a clip," began filming in secret.
At this point, the strike had not started?
Kash Leone: That was before the strike was not the direction to learn what we were doing,
if we were taken Seb and I were transferred, we took risks. For two and a half months we
shot in secret, there is a scene outside the gates where only a third of those who were
committed to come are there. The strike began on 15 January and yet the announcement was
made in July, there was time before it matures, the first people were a little groggy,
they announced it just before the holidays, they planned their coup.
Is what you say you've done a militant clip?
Kash Leone: There are more than 50 people of PSA in the clip, we wanted to show the face
of employees, there are people I barely know but I did not clip militant, or striker,
because the strike had not begun. In the clip, there are striking but not only, there are
also workers who intend to stay in the group of workers who have loans, there are many
people who in life, do not bounce, c ' is difficult for them.
The management of PSA she knew for the clip?
Kash Leone: There was noise there was a clip, so I was summoned by my bosses. They told me
I had done a very good job, and asked if I had thought of my rehabilitation. They offered
me a place unit manager (so above my post), well paid, in Poissy, and after they told me
they had heard of a clip closure. Indirectly, they made me realize that if I did not go
out the clip, I could have a good job. I refused and three days after I threw the clip on
the internet.
The song and the clip did it was quickly publicized?
Kash Leone: The next day, the plant is not running, we were on BFM, then i> T?l? ... It
has been called by many newspapers ... We have seen the media "sharks" who seek buzz. On
the internet it turned out well (over 117,000 views) whereas initially it was said that
10,000 views for 3,000 employees, it was good.
Is that there has been criticism from some employees of PSA?
Kash Leone: Some said they had done for the promotion of the album the song, I was
hesitant to put it on the album but I put it to immortalize on a support. Some felt that
there was not enough strikers in the clip, but many unions came to thank us because the
buzz in the media coverage of the struggle. We did concerts to support the strike fund. I
think the clip was not bad for employees, there is even teachers who are studying for
their students.
How to work the strike fund?
Kash Leone: For donations: the employee-es PSA Renaud, Michelin, Arcelor helped ... The
strike fund has recovered more than 950,000 euros. Each month, had point and strike fund
paid money, if you were less than a certain number of strike days in the week you had the
right to anything. Following are some who have tried to get money from both sides. I find
it no worse. They were not numerous and fortunately the people who ran the strike fund
were serious. We did not have the right to claim money without reducing our payroll.
How it happened between strikers and non-strikers?
Kash Leone: There rebel cardboard shouting louder than everyone and do not strike a guy
told me "Why should I go to strike, so we're trying to fuck anything and we have our pay?
" . And then there are people who never speak and who made the four-month strike. Some
have gone on strike, resumed and then stopped, but resumed some contrived so that the line
never starts. I never will type on someone who does not want to strike because it is
difficult. There are also those who pushed the interim to strike, knowing that Aulnay,
half jumped interim and interim it was a good third of the workers, but for them then it
is the Red List interim, it is even harder!
In your song, you have echoed the workers?
Kash Leone: I noticed that people were saying, all the ideas and I tried to bring out the
emotions: depression, sadness, anger, discomfort ... I wanted it to be the sound of all
that farm for all boxes .
You cite Assassin, is that prior to make this video, you were already hired a rapper?
Kash Leone: Me I'm a rapper a little ghetto aware, I grew up with Fabe, Scred Connection,
NTM. Assassin is more their speech I clung, Odyssey takes its course, I kiffais
thoroughly. I try to show that we do not let it go. It was also played in the women's
prison in Rennes this summer.
What do you do for your dismissal?
Kash Leone: After 11 years at SAP, I got fire on June 21 They decided to mark the occasion
for the music festival. Seb, the videographer, was dismissed on June 22 after 12 years. I
try to run me as entrepreneur in the sound, and then I do concerts everywhere. If it does
not work, I'll try to find a part-time job because I have a family.
