Betsy Saina runs world leading time in 5000 to highlight day 1 of UW Invitational...
SEATTLE--Betsy Saina's (left/photo by Paul Merca) world leading mark in the women's 5000 highlighted day 1 of the UW Invitational at the Dempsey Indoor.
Running from the front most of the way, Saina, a former NCAA champion at Iowa State University, ran 15:28.84 to beat Alisha Williams (15:34.28) and Oregon alum Alexi Pappas (15:42.87), with NCAA cross country runner-up Emma Bates of Boise
