The innovative result reported in this paper is that this paper proved 3 things.
First, that the aquatic biota is the central, key, core, essential part of the ecological mechanisms for improving water quality in aquatic ecosystem (mechanisms for water self-purification).
Second, that the water self-purification function of the aquatic biota is not a firmly fixed, constant parameter.
Third, that the water self-purifcation by the aquatic biota is vulnerable: this function of the biota can be decreased under effect of chemical pollution (exemplified by water pollution with synthetic surfactants).
