We have very sad news today. Toby was put to sleep this morning after a very sudden and very quick deterioration in his health.
Yesterday we had all enjoyed a lovely walk at Richmond Park but after we got back,Toby collapsed and couldn't get back up by himself. His back legs had given way.
This morning Toby was no better so we took him to the vets first thing and she confirmed that he wouldn't recover from the collapse - his back legs were just too weak and there were no options.
Toby was never happy about going to see the vet, but he didn't struggle as we carried him in, still in his bed. He passed very peacefully.
We are all very sad and will miss Toby, a gentle boy who I've known for over nine years but we know that now he is reunited with Beenz, watching over Paul and Mindy from Rainbow Bridge.
