No matter what I am doing I have help.
It is no wonder that it takes me forever to get my Christmas cards done.
I took this photo late last night by the wood-stove.
Annie is working hard to fill some very big paws. I knew she would be there for her. Lily is bending down to let Annie wash her. Bless her heart.
Even Audrey is doing her bit by staying close.
I'd have to say that Lily is doing ok. She misses him, there is no doubt in my mind, but she is eating fine and coming to me for extra snuggles and attention.
Last night there was a special plate of warm roasted chicken for them all to enjoy with their dinner.
She ate with gusto.
She is 18 years old now.
Time will heal and I'm hoping that Lily will soon feel safe with, and trust Annie like she did her Ed. I want to see her relaxed and cuddling with her. Then I know she will be fine.
We brought Ed home with us and will take him to our property in the Spring and lay him to rest.
I'm still very sad; tears just appear at any time and I am having trouble reading all your wonderful comments but tomorrow will be better.
It is time to wrap gifts now and look forward to Christmas. I promise photos of Lily as life improves.
hugs, Deb
