It is the capture or killing of protected wildlife. From capturing a wild parrot in Brazil to be sold as a pet, to killing an African rhinoceros for its horn—from hunting an African elephant for a trophy on a wall to netting endangered leatherback sea turtles for meat—poaching is a worldwide problem.
Today we are urged to take a wildlife pledge and join in the fight against wildlife crimes. What do you think of decorating a house with big-game trophies such as the heads and tusks seen here?
