White Dog and The White Dog Army
Wonderful World Wednesday
White Dog will celebrate her ninth birthday this coming Sunday, the 22nd. (I know, where have all the years flown). Not only did she start the White Dog Army by convincing us to open our hearts and homes to others in need but she was instrumental in shaping us all into fighters leading the war to beat catastrophic diseases that take too many too soon. Without a doubt the leader of the White Dog Army makes serious efforts to make the world more wonderful.
The White Dog Army approached me with a plan to pay tribute to their sister, mentor and inspiration, but they need your help.
On Sunday, we will post some never before seen photos of Baby White Dog (or would that be White Pup)? And I will share a special message to the Little White Dog of My Heart. What we would like you to do is to join the celebration at our Comment-A-Thon. Just leave birthday greetings, a good thought, shared memory, or astute observation…you know how this goes. White Dog loves a good party and hearing from her friends from all over the world. Please spread the word.
The WDA has made a deal with Steve and I to sponsor a case of blankets, 48 of them, to be divided up among our favorite senior dog hospice and a local cat rescue that does amazing work rehabilitating street kitties (plus we will throw in birthday treats). If the WDA can convince at least 48 of you to participate, the case is theirs to donate. So put the date in your PDAs, circle the calendar, tape a note on the frig…the WDA NEEDS YOU!
The White Ones know that you will show up in force to honor one of our Blog Family’s most kind and generous members…and to make the world more wonderful (and warmer) for lots of fur friends in need.
