Once upon a time, there was a Will Ferrell movie called Elf.
The main character of the movie, Buddy the Elf, isn't really an elf—it turns out he's a human. The movie follows his adventures as he leaves the North Pole and travels to New York City to find his father. The movie was a hit, so much so that there is a Buddy the Elf page on Facebook, books, costumes, T-shirts (like the one pictured below), other products, and of course this holiday!To celebrate the day, all you have to do is answer the telephone at least once the way Buddy did in the movie: “Buddy the Elf. What's your favorite color?”
