White Dog shook her head. "They are going to think something horrible has happened, Momma! We have not posted in DAYS! Why are you doing this to me?"
I took her in my arms. "Do not fret so. I believe all of our friends will understand and forgive us. It is not entirely my fault, dear one." She relaxed a bit at my promise to catch up tonight.
Sunday we prepared a lovely post about the White Dog Army's day of rest and our trip out to the Park. Balloon Fiesta ended on Saturday and this was our first venture out into public; Albuquerque natives tend to avoid being out and about too much during the Fiesta days which bring thousands of visitors to crowd our favorite places. But Blogger seemingly did not like our post and refused to actually publish it; finally it disappeared forever into the cyber-ethers. By that point I was too frustrated and angry to start anew...maybe someday it will just randomly appear.
Monday White Dog and I had a busy day working on the Cancer Warrior Candle Light Vigil. There are lots of tasks that go into putting together an Event including writing lists, creating fliers, generating press releases and more. Most of those tasks require a computer...and a keyboard that actually types all of the letters. About halfway through the day mine decided that "W"s and "S"s were no longer necessary when communicating in English. During the day I stole Steve's keyboard but in the evening (when WD and I blog) Steve required its use to work on his homework.
This morning, Tuesday, we went bright and early for two essentials...a new grinder to replace the coffee grinder that died...and a computer keyboard. Life is once again good!
A storm rolled in this afternoon turning the day grey, cold and windy. Steve had promised to spend extra time with the White Dog Army when he got home from work in the late afternoon. His thought had been a romp in the Park. The rain and wind cancelled that plan, forcing the pack into Steve's Plan B...
Grooming!
