Amplification and deteriorating working conditions, intimidation, discrimination and union
bullying are a daily reality in the PSA Poissy plant. "Sick," say the hunger strikers, to
be the subject of vexatious measures, provided that infernal work, multiple stoppages for
depression workers on assembly lines and pressures of a hierarchy who does not hesitate to
take arbitrary discipline. ---- There are an unlimited hunger strike, in tents in front of
the headquarters of Poissy. ---- What they claim is: ---- improved working conditions,
---- stopping moral harassment, ---- Stop discrimination and violations of trade union
rights, ---- compensation for damages sudden. ---- The battle background of hunger
strikers is that all employees of PSA Poissy, crushed by the working conditions and the
system "PSA" management personnel.
Load and organization of work intolerable.
Following the closure of the Aulnay site Poissy recover mounting a Citro?n model while
assembly lines already running at full performance. With 11,000 workers in 2002 are 280
vehicles coming out every day chains. Today it is 460 vehicles are produced with only
4,470 workers, including 1,800 temporary workers, who are the 3X8.
Despite this, technical unemployment periods multiplied, the new organization of work and
even more competitive agreement degrade working conditions: work schedules not met, call
to come to work at short notice, overtime not increased due to a new system of collective
counter, unable to recover overtime ergonomics of hard work ...
To all this is added the outbreak of occupational accidents, occupational diseases and
work stoppages are the consequences of bullying and daily pressures.
Trade union rights violations.
Founded in 2006, the local union SUD Industrie is now representative in PSA Poissy which
is not the taste of the direction that never ceases to obstruct trade union rights: a
local "junk" as assigned "office", billboard behind a door and a location other than that
of other unions, not staffing equipment while it is provided in the CC, change jobs or
activists SOUTH shelved, withdrawal their tool, "tracing" of union activists, sending
security guards when leafleting including the daily lot of the union SUD and recorded in
writing by the Labour Inspectorate.
So much so that the Courts of Appeal of Versailles condemned the management of PSA Poissy
union discrimination and harassment in May 2013. Since then ... nothing has changed! HRD
is always maintained in its management and methods of another time.
Pressures and attempts divisions against hunger strikers
The first management response to issues raised by the strikers was an attempt to dislodge
them by force wanting to pull banners and flags with the security team, HRD head, followed
by numerous threats in the presence of a bailiff.
PSA Poissy workers from expressing their solidarity with their colleagues are filmed by
management and summoned.
Given the determination of the hunger strikers, the Directorate Paris seconded a HR to
"discuss" with the strikers, in fact try to isolate and buy proposing to consider only
cases of strikers and affirming its support HRD to Poissy. The response of the strikers
was to slam the door and reaffirm, if any were needed, that their struggle is that of all
workers in Poissy.
Solidarity is organized around their fight. Delegations of political and trade union
organizations, individual went to the site, some sleep with them.
After calling several rallies before the tertiary center PSA Poissy and constant
continuously activists who spend express their solidarity with the struggle of the hunger
strikers, it was decided at a general meeting to form a support group.
The objectives of this committee will support:
coordinate solidarity and organize,
denounce the managerial policy and anti-union at Peugeot Poissy
call to the inter Inter unit to break the code of silence surrounding the practice of PSA.
