The government's plan for a new pension reform was announced on August 27 evening. Moreau
from the recommendations of the report, it is in line with previous liberal reforms (2003,
2010): the project is still to increase the contribution period gradually (up to 43 years)
and to pay the workers and workers further . The result, in a context of high unemployment
and increasing insecurity , it will be down because of pensions. ---- The government hopes
to achieve a smooth transition reform. He has promised some " counterparties" taking into
account the strain at work , very limited increase of the lowest pensions and increase the
contribution period "only" from 2020 ... These counterparties have already convinced the
CFDT (which is , admittedly , not very difficult to convince ... ) but they are nothing
compared to the destruction of the pension system continues .
On the other hand the government is promising new tax breaks to employers , which does not
prevent them, by the voice of MEDEF, to complain that the reform does not go far enough
and that the "cost of labor" chokes wealth creation by "entrepreneurs" . Yet the problem
is not the cost of labor , but the cost of capital, which depletes an ever greater share
of the wealth produced on the backs of those who toil .
September 10 held a first day of action at the call of four unions ( Solidarity , FSU , FO
and CGT). The success of the day depends on the consequences of a possible move . It is
all of us , workers , workers, students, unemployed , precarious , with our unions and
organizations struggle to mobilize us to not miss this appointment . Libertarian
alternative will be there !
