Digital Spy have an interesting interview via itv.com with actor David Neilson, who of course plays Corrie's Roy Cropper. David talks about how Roy struggles to cope with Hayley's terrifying diagnosis in the weeks ahead. It would appear the normally placid, calm Roy finds his anger and by the looks of it, some of that anger will be directed at Emily Bishop.
Personally, I think this will be a good development as we will see a different side to Roy, and it will give David Neilson some challenging scenes to play. It will also be interesting to see Eileen Derbyshire become more involved in Roy and Hayley's story.
I think we all agree that both David and Julie Hesmondhalgh continue to turn in amazing performances. While it will be awful to see Hayley leave the Street, it is wonderful to see these brilliant actors given proper screen time once again.
