Requirements: A registered NQF level 6 in Financial Management or other related qualification with Accounting/Financial Management as a major subject plus at least 2 years experience in the financial environment in the public sector. Skills: Applicant must have the following attributes and skills: Accounting skills, computer literacy, interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work individually and as a team, and also under sustained pressure. Be prepared to work irregular hours. Applicant must have good knowledge of Public service rules, regulations and prescripts, Knowledge of PFMA, Knowledge of Treasury Regulations and Income tax act. Applicant must have a working knowledge of Basic Accounting System (BAS), Safety Web System and PERSAL.
Duties: Reconciliation of various travel accounts and ensuring that invoices are supported by valid and authentic documents and capturing of such on BAS. Resolve account enquiries and disputes with service providers. Follow up on outstanding invoices with service providers. Administrate departmental debt. Reconcile and clear suspense accounts. Capture allowances and deductions on Persal. Post Persal advice reports to beneficiaries. File monthly and supplementary salary reports.
